About Arcwave

1. What Arcwave is
Arcwave is an independent, audio-first platform for listening to webnovels — progression fantasy, cultivation and xianxia, LitRPG, Korean and Chinese web fiction, and related serialized stories. Each novel is published as a chapter-by-chapter audiobook you stream in the player, with bookmarks, resume state, and a cross-device library when you sign in.
It is not a marketplace, a generic audiobook store, or a text-reading app. The focus is one thing done well: letting you listen to the web fiction you follow.
2. How the narration is made
Arcwave narrates each chapter with a consistent, generated voice rather than a human voice actor. That is a deliberate choice: it lets us bring a large, growing catalog into audio and keep new chapters arriving quickly, with the same narration on every plan. We currently ship one selected narration style per chapter; choosing between voices is not part of any plan today.
Audio is generated from each chapter's text. Paid plans remove the daily listening limit; they do not change audio quality.
3. What is free, and what costs
The first 10 narrated chapters of every novel are free to anyone, with no sign-in. Signing in keeps that and adds 10 minutes of listening per day on chapter 11 and beyond, plus bookmarks and progress sync. The Listener plan ($5/month at the current launch promo) removes the daily cap for unlimited listening across the catalog. Full details are on the pricing page.
4. Authors, rights, and originality
The novels in the catalog are the literary property of their respective authors, translators, and publishers — not Arcwave. What we add is the audio layer: the narration and the listening experience. We respect creators' rights and operate a prompt notice-and-takedown process consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent laws.
If you are an author or publisher and your work appears here, you can have it removed quickly — or talk to us about a licensing or revenue arrangement instead. Both routes start at hello@arcwave.app. See our Copyright & DMCA policy for the full process.
5. Requests and what we narrate next
What gets narrated next is driven partly by listeners. You can request a novel and vote on the queue from the requests page; titles that cross a threshold of interest move into production. Discussion, requests, and narration feedback also live in the Arcwave listeners' community on Discord.
6. Contact
Arcwave is independently operated. The fastest way to reach us — for support, press, rights questions, or partnerships — is hello@arcwave.app. See also our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
